Epilogue
Three months later, Hayley stood
backstage watching the guys perform. They were on tour for six months. Jackie came up to her daughter.
“Hey Mama,” Hayley said.
“You okay, sweetie,” Jackie said.
“I’m fine, just perfect, how would you feel to being a grandmother,” Hayley said softly. Jackie looked
at her daughter.
“Hayley, are you pregnant?” Jackie said.
“Two and a half months along, I haven’t told Nick yet,” Hayley said grinning. Jackie hugged her daughter.
“I am so happy for you, I better tell your father, don’t worry, no one will know until Nick knows,”
Jackie said. She went to find her husband. The guys came backstage. Nick ran over and hugged her.
“Hey baby,” Nick said. Hayley giggled.
“Hey Daddy,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her. He looked at her stomach and looked back at her. She smiled
and nodded.
“How far along?” Nick asked.
“Two and a half months,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her and hugged her. He cupped her face in his hands and
grinned.
“A baby, we are having a baby!” Nick said.
“Yes,” Hayley said. He hugged her and kissed her deeply. He pulled away and turned to the guys.
“Guys, I’m going to be a father!” Nick said grinning.
“Congratulations, Nick!” they said hugging him. Brian hugged Hayley.
“Congrats, sis,” Brian said. Hayley smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.
“Thanks, bro,” Hayley said. Kevin came over and hugged her.
“Congrats, cuz,” Kevin said. Hayley rested her head on his chest.
“Thanks, cuz,” Hayley said. She went back over to Nick and hugged him close.
“I’m so happy,” Nick said.
“Me, too,” Hayley said.
Eight months later, Hayley sat in
the nursery, watching her and Nick’s baby boy. They named him Nickolas Robert Carter. They called him Nicky. Nick came
in and stood behind her. He kissed her forehead.
“He is so perfect, thank you for our son,” Nick said. Hayley smiled.
“Thank you for our son,” Hayley said. They sat there watching their son sleep. They both knew they were
happy and nothing was tearing them apart.
